On the other hand, below you can find some questions about the book Anne of Green Gables.
- Why did Marilla and Mathew want a boy instead of a girl at first?
- Why was Mrs. Lynde angry with Anne at the beginning of the story?
- What happened to Marilla's brooch?
- Does Anne go to Redmond College? Why?
- Why did Anne hate Gilbert?

7 AM, the usual morning lineup
Start on the chores and sweep 'til the floor's all clean
Polish and wax, do laundry, and mop and shine up
Sweep again, and by then it's like 7:15

And so I'll read a book
Or maybe two or three
I'll add a few new paintings to my gallery
I'll play guitar and knit
And cook and basically
Just wonder when will my life begin?

Then after lunch it's puzzles and darts and baking
Paper mache, a bit of ballet and chess
Pottery and ventriloquy, candle making
Then I'll stretch, maybe sketch, take a climb
Sew a dress!

And I'll reread the books
If I have time to spare
I'll paint the walls some more
I'm sure there's room somewhere
And then I'll brush and brush
and brush and brush my hair
Stuck in the same place I've always been

And I'll keep wanderin' and wanderin'
And wanderin' and wonderin'
When will my life begin?

And tomorrow night
Lights will appear
Just like they do on my birthday each year
What is it like
Out there where they glow?
Now that I'm older
Mother might just
Let me go...

Marks Test Unit 3 4th ESO Group A.

Except Anabel and Christian P. (who in turn might also improve their writings) everybody's missing the mark for the writing part.
I'm preparing the texts you demanded me today morning.
Have a nice end of week.

Spelling Rules.

When adding an ending to a word that ends in a consonant, we double that consonant when the ending begins with a vowel and the last syllable of the word is stressed and that syllable ends in a single vowel followed by a single consonant.

However, we don't double the consonant,
1. when it is a y or w (eg. enjoy)
2. when the last syllable is not stressed (eg. disCOver, LISten, HAppen)
But note also that we double the l at the end of verbs, when the last syllable is not stressed (eg. TRAvel, CANcel).

You may have a look at the PowerPoint presentation made by Charles Darling, PhD, Professor of English and Webmaster (Capital Community College, Hartford, Connecticut).

Perd l'escola pública.

Quan el Govern Valencià retalla els drets dels docents, no perden els docents... perd l'escola pública.
Quan el Govern Valencià anuncia que no cobrirà les baixes del professorat, no perden els interins, perden els alumnes, perd l'escola pública.
Quan el Govern Valencià gasta milions d'euros en un circuit de fòrmula 1, no guanya València, perd l'escola pública.

Verb Test.

Happy New Year to you all!

For the students of 1st Bach, Group E (Practical English), next Wednesday we'll do a verb exam, consisting of the following parts:
- writing a verb in four columns (infinitive, past simple form, past participle form and meaning).
- writing a sentence with the verb given
- reading the exam aloud (well pronounced, of course!)

The exams will be different for every three or four students.
You'll know your oral mark in the same session.
